Cann Memorial Botanical Gardens in Ponca City, Oklahoma, is a 10-acre public garden centered on the former Lester A. Cann home, a prairie-style house from about 1908. In 1975, Elsie Cann Brown donated the estate to the city to be maintained as a memorial garden for local residents. Lester A. Cann had served Ponca City for more than 25 years as a commissioner and city manager. Renovated in 1977, the grounds include brick walkways, a wisteria arbor, gazebo, lily pond, and plant beds, while more than 70 tree species planted since 1980 have strengthened its educational role. The site also hosts workshops and the popular Ponca City Herb Festival.
