The F/RF-101 Voodoo was a U.S. Air Force Century Series aircraft flown by strategic, tactical, and air defense units from 1954 to 1974. It became well known for its nuclear deterrent role in NATO and was famous for its reconnaissance mission in Southeast Asia. It is also associated with the memory of Walter Mayer, Jr., a dedicated Beaumonter with a deep love for flying who lived from 1933 to 1989.
