Crawford County honors all veterans and civilians who served and supported the nation in times of military conflict, crediting patriotic men, women, and children with helping perpetuate constitutional freedoms. The conflicts named are the American Revolution, War of 1812, Blackhawk War, Mexican War, Civil War, Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Grenada, Panama, Persian Gulf War, and Lebanon, and a time capsule is dated Nov. 11, 2090.
