Cass County veterans who died in wartime service are honored across several conflicts. The Korean Conflict section, dated 1950 to 1955, names Eugene Waldo of Dowagiac, Donald Webber of Dowagiac, Melvin Wright of Dowagiac, Theodore Terkos of Dowagiac, James Balog of Marcellus, Roy Lapham of Cassopolis, Howard Smith of Marcellus, and Donald Chaney of Edwardsburg, with their birth and death dates and ranks. It is dedicated to Nicholas and Beatrice Terkos, proprietors of the Olympia Cafe in Dowagiac, described as friends to all veterans. The World War II sections list many Cass County service members by name. The World War I section, for 1917 to 1918, gives everlasting memory to Cass County, Michigan, veterans who paid the supreme sacrifice for their country, listing their names, ages, and year of death from 1917 to 1920. The Vietnam section, for 1963 to 1975, names those who served and died for their country, giving ranks, branches of service, dates of death, and home cities including Cassopolis, Marcellus, Dowagiac, Vandalia, and Edwardsburg. The World War I section was presented and dedicated by the Doe-Wah-Jack American Legion Post #563 and the Cass County Veterans Advisory Committee on 30 May 1991, and the Vietnam section was dedicated by the Cass County High School Students on 30 May 1989.
