Carved in 1980 from a Douglas Fir harvested in the Big Horn Mountains of Washakie County, Wyoming, this statue is one of 67 works by Peter Toth located throughout the United States and Canada honoring American Indians, particularly the Shoshone, Arapaho, and Sioux tribes native to Wyoming.
