Alexander Queary and his wife Peggy McCord Queary fled for religious freedom and for love of each other to this land of liberty, and near this spot found a home where they reared their children. Their descendants honored them as godly pioneers and held up their God fearing and liberty loving lives as an example for future generations of their family to emulate.
