The Mormon Pioneer Trail stretched 1336 miles from Nauvoo, Illinois, to the Salt Lake Valley. A second plaque bears the words, "Whether I live or whether I die all is well, all is well," attributed to Elizabeth Rutledge, 1806 - 1852.
