Frustration Falls is a three-drop waterfall on Oregon’s Salmon River along the southern edge of Mount Hood National Forest in the Salmon–Huckleberry Wilderness. It sits within an unusually dense cluster of waterfalls, with several other cascades lying within one to two miles in the same valley. Reached by following the Salmon River Trail south from Welches off U.S. Route 26, the route passes campgrounds, crosses the river on a wooden bridge, and continues upstream beyond Final Falls. About seven miles long and requiring skill, the trail leads through heavily forested backcountry lined with Douglas fir, western hemlock, red cedar, bigleaf maple, red alder, and black cottonwood.
