The present building, constructed in 1887, has been in continuous use and remains virtually unaltered. Charter members were Moses Park, Sarah E. Adcock, Eliza E. Taylor, Martha Park, David Little, Sarah E. Taylor, Susan Park, Lucinda Kirby, Amanda Osborne, James Adcock, Elizabeth Wheeler, and Ann Bennett. The church was placed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on March 30, 1989.
