Dunton’s Tastee Freez was a fast food ice cream and hamburger shop established by Harold L. and Dorothy Dunton. Tastee-Freez was one of the first soft serve franchises in the nation. Subsequent owners included Mrs. Roberta Elder, Dana E. Wright, and Galen Mielke. In later years, the building was the Back Porch BBQ. In 2017, James Pigneri and Mynde Kelly purchased the property, and in the following year established the Copper Tap Grille.
