This stone home was erected circa 1798 on the foundation of an 18th century log building owned by John Quinn, a weaver and the original proprietor of the township's first tavern, The Fox Chase Inn. For many years the cottage was associated with the inn, which is now a private residence. It was destroyed by fire in 1976.
