Indian soldiers who died in military service included Sgt. Donald Abbott, Pvt. Ray Ackerman, S/Sgt. Percy J. Archdale, T/Sgt. Frederick Bauer, Pvt. Henry Bow, Pvt. Fred Connor, Pvt. Nathan Crazy Bull, Capt. Duncan Dupree, Pvt. Elson L. First Eagle, Pvt. U.S.M.C. John Lambert Jr., T/Sgt. Alva G. Masters, S/Sgt. Frank Spindler Jr., Pfc. Alvin White, and Alec Yellow Robe. A roll of honor for these dead was erected in 1947 by the Fort Peck National Guard Mothers, whose officers were Isabelle Hollow, president, Inez Thompson, vice president, Annie T. Red Fox, treasurer, Josephine Gray Hawk, secretary, and Ogle, Lillian Crowe, and Sara.
