Fleet Admiral William Daniel Leahy was born in Hampton, Iowa and was an American naval officer who served during World War II. A folded flag honors those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice. The Grand Army of the Republic building honors seven Civil War veterans. Service dogs and their handlers and the American Legion Riders are also honored.
