Rev. Soloman Lombard, who lived from 1702 to 1781, was the first settled minister of Gorham and pastor of the Congregational Church from 1750 to 1764. A graduate of Harvard College in 1723, he also served as a representative to the General Court, a delegate to the Provincial Congress, a delegate to form the Constitution of Mass., chairman of the Committee of Safety and Vigilance, and judge of the Court of Common Pleas. His wife was Sarah Purington.
