Artillery Park is dedicated by Tatem-Shields Post #17, Department of New Jersey, The American Legion, to the memory of those who fell in the service of the country and of those who offered their lives so justice, freedom, and democracy might survive as victorious ideals for the peoples of the world. Their supreme sacrifice is held as glorious and their deeds as an inspiration, linking their service in wartime with a call for faithful service in peace so that liberty might live. The dedication also honors the memory of fallen heroes Willard W. Kelshaw, a World War II veteran, and Beatrice P. Kelshaw.
