Marines who served in the Marine Corps League Cape and Islands Detachment #955 on active duty from 1996 to 2017 are remembered for supporting fellow Marine traditions and other leathernecks through missions and programs that included Battle Color ceremonies on Cape Cod, Toys for Tots support, detachment parades on holidays in Plymouth and Orleans, military honors for the deceased and on national holidays, rifle detail squad and bugling as needed, and Marine Corps birthday ball programs.
