Balsam Branch Wildlife Area is a 180-acre protected tract in central Polk County, Wisconsin, managed by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Its marshland and prairie fields surround an unnamed central pond of about 13 acres, with drainage flowing toward Wapogasset Lake. Donated to the state in 1967 for conservation, the land has been maintained with attention to habitat for turkey, deer, and native waterfowl. It is also known as a place visited by birdwatchers.
