Chubb Cemetery became the final resting place of some of Nanking Township's most outstanding pioneers. Glode Chubb designated it in 1849, and descendants of Glode Chubb, Myra Woodhull and Dale and Marion Curtiss, deeded it to the City of Westland in 1968. It was officially dedicated as a city historical site on October 23, 1971.
