Muddy Mountain, a peak in the Laramie Mountains south-southeast of Casper, Wyoming, serves as both a summit and a year-round recreation area. It has a two-mile interpretive nature trail maintained by the Bureau of Land Management and a larger trail network used in summer by mountain bikers, horseback riders, and ATV riders, then by snowmobiles in winter. In 2024, access was significantly improved through a Federal Highway Administration project aided by Natrona County and the Bureau of Land Management, including paving seven miles of road, upgrading Casper Mountain Circle Drive, and adding day-use parking. Its changing climate with elevation supports varied outdoor use.
