Dalby Springs Methodist Church was built of knotless pine lumber in 1888 as the first house of worship erected by a congregation that had been worshipping since 1839 in homes, groves, and a school. During this time, the town of Dalby Springs emerged from farmland and grew into a summer health spa. It became a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1966.
