A time capsule was buried beneath this site on December 17, 1976, at 2:00 P.M. by the West Plains Bicentennial 1976 Steering Committee to be disinterred on July 4th, 2076, by the Howell County Court. The time capsule was donated by Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, and the site was donated by West Plains Monument Company.
