Colonel Ephraim Doolittle

Military
Colonel Ephraim Doolittle was the most active man in procuring the charter for Shoreham in 1761 and in effecting its early settlement. He worked on the Military Road in 1759, served as an officer in the French and Revolutionary Wars, and came with others from Worcester, Mass. to clear the first ground in 1766. He died in 1807 at the age of 86 years and was buried on his own land.
