Nahant Beach Reservation is a 67-acre coastal park in Nahant, Massachusetts, and part of Greater Boston’s Metropolitan Park System. Centered on Long Beach, a 7,000-foot Atlantic shoreline, it was created in the early 1900s when the Metropolitan District Commission acquired private beachfront at Nahant Beach and nearby Lynn Shore for adjoining public reservations. Buildings including the Hotel Nahant were removed to open the waterfront to public use and preserve the natural shoreline. A bathhouse, beach shelters, benches, and a bridle path were added in the early 20th century. The reservation also includes access to Lynn Harbor and remains an important historic and recreational public shoreline.
