Great Lakes Science Center is a nonprofit science museum and educational center on Cleveland’s Lake Erie waterfront that opened in July 1996. It combines STEM exhibits, traveling shows, daily demonstrations, a large-format theater, and seasonal access to the restored 1925 steamship William G. Mather. Education drives its mission through school field trips, Camp Curiosity, and its partnership with MC2 STEM High School and six robotics teams. Its best-known attractions include the NASA Glenn Visitor Center, relocated there beginning in 2010, and the Cleveland Clinic DOME Theater. New permanent galleries and regional partnerships reflect its continuing role as a year-round hub for science learning in Northeast Ohio.
