Camp Far West Cemetery honors the pioneers buried there between 1844 and 1856 and the known military buried there: Pvt. George Eckweller, Co. F, 2nd Inf., 1849; Pvt. John Stevenson, Co. F, 2nd Inf., 1849; Pvt. Newton Barnes, Co. F, 2nd Inf., 1849; and Pvt. Baldwin, Co. E, 2nd Inf., 1850. It was erected in 1911 by the Grand Parlor Native Sons of the Golden West.
