The "Hattie Butner" is a nine passenger Concord stagecoach built in 1872 for Edwin T. Clemmons by the Abbot-Downing Co. of Concord, New Hampshire. It was named for his wife Harriet "Hattie" Butner. In 1993, the Wachovia Historical Society gave it to the people of Clemmons, and it was adopted as the symbol of the Village of Clemmons. It was conserved and restored by the Clemmons Historical Society.
