Odd Fellows' Cemetery Mound in Newtown, Ohio, is a Native American earthen mound, likely built by the Adena culture, that survives as one of the few largely intact remnants of a once much broader prehistoric landscape in the area. Preserved within a cemetery, the larger oval mound escaped the destruction that erased many nearby earthworks, though a smaller second mound in the same cemetery was more heavily disturbed by graves. Long recognized as a local landmark, the larger mound gained added importance for its archaeological potential when it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in the 1970s.
