Silver Lake State Park is a 35-acre Vermont state park in Barnard on the northern shore of the 84-acre Silver Lake. Part of the Vermont State Park system and administered by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation, it was managed in 1955 and has long centered on simple lakeside recreation. In warmer months, it offers swimming, picnic areas, camping, fishing, and paddling, while winter brings seasonal outdoor activities as well. The park’s significance lies in its role as a longstanding public recreation area built around access to the lake and year-round outdoor use.
