Built in 1936, the Old Pass Christian High School stood here as a one-story, U-shaped brick building designed by the local architectural firm of Shaw and Woleben, with a columned Federalesque entrance portico and a copula capping its gabled roof. Robin Roberts, anchor of ABC's show “Good Morning America,” graduated from the school in 1979. After being damaged by Hurricane Georges in 1998, the school was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
