The City of Burbank hosted the Moving Wall Vietnam Veterans Memorial at McCambridge Park from February 16 to February 22, 1998, under the leadership of Mayor Bob Kramer, a Vietnam veteran. During its visit to Burbank, thousands of visitors came to honor and remember the 58,202 Americans who lost their lives in the Vietnam War. On Veterans Day 1998, the site was dedicated on the tenth anniversary of Burbank's Vietnam War Memorial and Korean War Memorial. An anonymous tribute expressed the hope that the silent wall would shout out for peace, because while most walls keep people apart, this wall brought people together.
