Alleghany's heroic dead served in the Korean War from June 27, 1950 to Jan. 31, 1955, and in the Vietnam Conflict from Aug. 5, 1964 to May 7, 1975. The Medal of Honor was awarded to Michael Fleming Folland and Gary Lee Miller. From those who care, Nov. 11, 1982.
