St. Francois State Park is a Missouri state park about five miles north of Bonne Terre along the Big River. Covering 2,735 acres, it serves as a public recreation area centered on outdoor activities. Within the park lies the 49-acre Coonville Creek Natural Area, which contains Coonville Creek and its narrow valley.
