By 1792, a 2-story brick house measuring 40 by 24 feet and described as “not yet fully complete” stood on a 4-acre lot of Chesterfield deeded that year from Mary Nicholson to her daughter Henrietta. After Henrietta’s husband, Dr. John Bracco, died, she married Dr. Robert Goldsborough by 1799. The property then descended through the Goldsborough and McKenney families until the house was demolished in 1963.
