Dennis and Duane Koslowski, both graduates of Doland High School in 1977, became accomplished Greco-Roman wrestlers. Dennis won the NCAA Division III championship in 1980 at New London, Connecticut, and in 1982 at Cortland, New York. He became national Greco-Roman champion in 1983 at Chicago, Illinois, 1985 at Grand Valley, Michigan, 1986 at Lacross, Wisconsin, 1987 at Albany, New York, and 1988 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He won silver medals at the Pan-Am Games in 1983 at Caracus, Venezuela, and 1987 at Indianapolis, Indiana. At the World Championships, he placed sixth in 1983 at Kiev, Russia, sixth in 1985 at Oslo, Norway, seventh in 1986 at Budapest, Hungary, and won a silver medal in 1987 at Clermont-Ferrard, France. He also won silver medals at the World Cup in 1985 at Lund, Sweden, 1986 at Chicago, Illinois, and 1987 at Albany, New York. In the 1984 Olympics at Los Angeles, California, he was first alternate, and in the 1988 Olympics at Seoul, Korea, he won a bronze medal at 220 pounds, becoming the first American to win an Olympic medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in a non-boycotted Olympics. Duane won the NCAA Division III championship in 1981 at Cleveland, Ohio. He became national Greco-Roman champion in 1986 at Lacrosse, Wisconsin, 1987 at Albany, New York, and 1988 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He won a gold medal at the 1987 Pan-Am Games at Indianapolis, Indiana. At the World Championships, he placed fourth in 1986 at Budapest, Hungary, and fifth in 1987 at Clermont-Ferrard, France. In the 1988 Olympics at Seoul, Korea, he placed eighth in the heavyweight division.
