Mogollon Baldy Lookout Cabin
History
Mogollon Baldy Lookout Cabin is a log cabin built in 1923 on Mogollon Baldy in New Mexico’s Gila National Forest, near the lookout tower by the peak. It stands in the Mogollon Mountains, with Whitewater Baldy, the range’s highest summit, about 4.6 miles to the northwest. The cabin gained recognition for its historic importance when it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. That designation applies specifically to the cabin itself, not to the nearby lookout tower.
