In 1976, brothers Stanley and Paul Kosek had this bandstand built in memory of their parents, Rose and Frank Kosek. Frank and Paul Kosek owned and operated Kosek's Dime and Dollar Store in the Czech Village from 1946 through the early 1980s in the building that now houses the Czech Museum Gift Shop and offices.
