Echo Peak
Nature
Echo Peak is a prominent mountain in Montana’s Madison Range, rising between 11,225 and 11,265 feet within the Lee Metcalf Wilderness. Shared by Gallatin and Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forests, this high-country summit is among the taller peaks in the range. It lies less than 2 miles north of Hilgard Peak and forms part of a remote, protected alpine landscape in southwestern Montana. Its location within designated wilderness gives the mountain a notably secluded character and reflects the broader significance of this preserved high-elevation area.
