Myers Cottage was one of twenty cottages built by the Suburban Developing Company, a subsidiary of the Tide Water Power Company. It was purchased in 1911 by John Quince Myers (1886-1912), a clerk with the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, remained in his family until 1954, and was donated in 1995 to the Wrightsville Beach Preservation Society and moved to this location from 124 S. Lumina Ave.
