A 100 year time capsule was placed in the floor of Palisades Ranch Museum on January 19, 1990, to be opened January 19, 2090. It was created by the Robert T. Older family, Mohahve Historical Society, and the Helendale School District. The site was located 1½ miles west of this location. The time capsule monument was originally placed on National Trails Highway in Helendale in 1990, removed circa 2010 by an unknown party, discovered in October 2021 on Palisades Ranch property, and relocated to Apple Valley in August 2022 as a project of Mohahve Historical Society and Helendale School District.
