On the campus of Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, this museum ranks among the state’s oldest college-connected museums. Founded in 1913 by biology instructor C. E. Johnson, it grew from the college’s teaching mission, with early specimens produced through Johnson’s taxidermy course. After a 1914 fire destroyed its first home in Wilkin Hall, the collection moved to North Hall until receiving its own building in 1968. Renamed in 1966 for longtime director A. D. Buck, the museum presents regional and campus history alongside science collections, and after remodeling in 2010 it reopened with decade-arranged exhibits and a welcome center.
