Singer Lake Bog is a 344-acre nature preserve in southern Summit County near Green, Ohio, owned by the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. It preserves one of Ohio’s most distinctive wetland landscapes, including more than fifty acres of leatherleaf bog, the largest example of that kind in the state. A five-acre kettle lake bog formed by glacial action supports tamarack, poison sumac, cranberries, sphagnum, and carnivorous plants such as the northern purple pitcher plant and round-leaved sundew. The preserve also shelters animals including beavers and squirrels, and remains significant for protecting a rare northern-style bog community in Ohio.
