Harbin Mountain, a 2,585-foot peak in Lake County, California, stands above Harbin Hot Springs on a ridge descending from Boggs Mountain in the Mayacamas. Closely tied to the surrounding ridge system, it may be seen either as a spur high point or as a connected summit, with long spurs stretching toward Putah Creek. Its name honors settler James M. Harbin, who took control of nearby land around 1856 and gave his name to both the springs and the mountain. The mountain was historically heavily timbered, and its geology includes volcanic higher ground and lower sandstone, shale, and serpentine formations. Its trees were badly damaged in the 2015 Valley Fire.
