Bretton Woods Mountain Resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, is a major ski area in the White Mountains on U.S. Route 302, across from the Mount Washington Hotel, which owns it. Its 464 acres beside the White Mountain National Forest include 99 trails, with snowmaking on 92 percent of them and average annual snowfall of more than 200 inches, helping make conditions dependable. The resort’s lift system includes seven chairlifts, two magic carpets, and a gondola, with about 14,000 people of uphill capacity per hour. Known for grooming, service, and family appeal, it is also recognized for scenic skiing beneath the Presidential Range.
