Founded in 2006 in Bentonville, Arkansas, by Cherokee Nation member David Bogle, this nonprofit museum presents the history, art, and culture of Indigenous peoples across the Americas through prehistoric and historic objects. Built from Bogle’s personal collection and later expanded with major donations, it traces roughly 24,000 years of Native American history in chronological galleries from about 22,000 BC to 1930 AD. Its collections span periods from Paleo to Pre-Columbian and include notable pieces such as Tusker, a woolly mammoth skeleton, and the Sweetwater Biface. Free to the public, it has grown into a major local center for education and cultural events.
