Pisgah View State Park is a developing North Carolina state park in the mountains of western North Carolina, spanning parts of Buncombe and Haywood counties. Authorized on July 19, 2019, it began taking shape with the acquisition of its first 205-acre tract in 2020. Much of the park’s character comes from Pisgah View Ranch, an approximately 1,600-acre property with cabins, equestrian trails, a swimming pool, tennis courts, and other amenities shaped by its long history as a private mountain retreat. The land has been in the Cogburn family since the late 1700s, and the park’s creation joined conservation, public recreation, and a family legacy.
