In the mid 1960's, an urban renewal project removed the building at the Pocket Park location and all the buildings north of it on the west side of Michigan Avenue looking north. Don's Radio & T.V. and Lutzke's Pianos and Organs had once stood on the west side of Michigan Avenue across from City Hall, where a shopping center parking lot now stands. The Pocket Park and 1st National Bank, now Chemical Bank, replaced several older buildings, and a shopping center and parking lot followed soon thereafter farther north.
