The Creek Meeting House was built by the Society of Friends in 1777 after a committee was appointed in 1775 to pitch upon a place for the meeting house, a preparative meeting was allowed by nine partners in 1776, and a monthly meeting was set up in 1782. After the division of Orthodox and Hicksites in 1828, the Hicksite branch retained this house and still holds meeting here. The building was bought by Upton Lake Grange in 1927.
