Near Corydon in Harrison Township, Indiana, this protected park preserves part of the battlefield where a portion of the Battle of Corydon was fought on July 9, 1863. Officially called the Battle of Corydon Memorial Park, it is part of the Harrison County Parks Department and includes the Corydon Civil War Museum. The site is significant as a preserved Civil War landscape and as a place where the battle is interpreted for visitors. It was also added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 9, 1979.
