J. A. Seybold oversaw the construction of the buildings at 720/722 Main Street in 1883 and operated a hardware store there for only a short time. W. A. Fuller then used the buildings for his "Yankee" Fuller Hardware Store until 1888. For most of their existence, the buildings have been owned by the Trefz family, whose Trefz Tin Shop operated there until 1925 and whose Trefz Plumbing occupied the buildings from the late 1920's until the 1990's.
