The Weston Museum, located inside the Van Houten Library at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark’s University Heights section, is devoted to Edward Weston’s work in science, invention, and manufacturing. Its holdings include objects he developed and manufactured, along with instruments and devices from his laboratory. Weston was a contemporary of Thomas Edison and had close ties to the university as a founding member of NJIT’s board of trustees and through his association with the Weston Electric Company. The collection also preserves Dr. Weston’s rare books for scholars and others interested in the history of science and technology.
